I went into Angry Sheep knowing almost nothing about it. It holds a 0.99 cent price tag in the iTunes store, and I’m here to tell you if its worth the cheap price tag.

Short answer is no, I do not think it is worth it. The game is fairly straight forward once I figured out the controls. Yes, there is a help menu in the game that tells you what the controls are (Taken directly from the game: “Tilt up and down to move, and press to fire.”) Fairly simple. The gameplay is really simplistic. You move your sheep up and down on a sort of ‘lift’ by tilting your iPhone or iPod up and down, and just tap the screen to fire your arrows. Wolves will drop from the top of the screen, or fly up from the button of the screen, depending on what level you are on.

Every level seems to be the same, move up and down firing arrows at the wolves and trying to knock them down to the ground. On some levels, the wolves will drop from the top of the screen on umbrellas, while another reddish wolf drops different things, like watermelon or bananas, for you to shoot. On others, the wolves will fly up from the bottom of the screen on balloons, and the reddish wolf will inflate and send some balloons flying to the top. One thing that remains constant throughout the levels, is they all throw what appears to be apples at you. Some of them appear to have different things you have to keep the wolves from doing, like on one they fly to the top of the screen and try to push a rock on top of you.

The sounds are fairly simple, and the music isn’t too bad. The controls work well, not super sensitive but not to the point of it being not sensitive enough. The graphics style itself is fairly decent, but I think they could be better.

Overall, I’d have to give this game 4 sheep out of 10.
